The goal of this ministry is to encourage everyone to make their relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ deeper and more intimate. No matter where we are in that relationship, whether just beginning or having walked with our Lord for many decades, there is always room for a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him.
In Deuteronomy chapter 28 Moses tells us that the path of obedience to God is the path of blessing. In Matthew chapters 5 through 7 Jesus seems to reinforce that concept in the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount. This is an oft repeated theme throughout the scriptures that the closer we are to God the more our lives will be blessed. The opposite warning is also frequently given. The further away from God we try to live, the more cursed our lives will be.
I believe that God is always calling us into a closer relationship with Him. In our hectic, fast-paced society we often miss that call or even resist what the Holy Spirit is trying to do in our lives to bring us closer to the Lord. Spiritual practices are tools that can help us be more sensitive to Gods voice and more open to the Holy Spirit’s work in us. Therefore, it will be a further goal of this ministry to encourage people to make a commitment to add one or more new spiritual practices in their life in order to help move them into a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Lord.
