I believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active and should be in use in the church today. After an event like the services I am offering, many people may want someone to pray for them for healing of their mind, soul, or body. In many cases this is accomplished by the pastor laying hands on people one at a time and praying for them. I prefer to use what I call healing circles.
All those who need prayer and all those who are willing to pray for others gather in a circle (if the size of the group or space limitations require it, more than one circle can be used). The shape of the circle is not important as long as each group can form one continuous, unbroken line. Each person in the group should raise their right hand, palm up and place their left hand on the shoulder, back of the arm, or elbow of the person next to them on their left. All members of the group then begin praying simultaneously for the Holy Spirit to heal and strengthen all the members of the group. They can also pray for anyone else they know of who needs a touch from the Spirit. Anyone who cannot physically be a part of the circle for any reason can still be a part of it by their desire to do so. I believe this will also work if the service is being live-streamed or if it is recorded and viewed later. The Holy Spirit is not limited by either space or time. Each member of the group is free to pray silently, aloud, or in tongues as they are comfortable. The circle will end when the people in the circle quit praying.
Here is how I believe this works. As each one raises their right hand it becomes like an antenna tuned to receive power from the Holy Spirit. The power received by each person is added to that received by everyone else and it is effectively multiplied within the circle. The power in the circle can be directed towards others outside the circle by the prayers of anyone inside or outside that circle. If you have been a member of a healing circle and later remember someone you should have prayed for, it is never too late. The power is still in you and you can still pray for them.
